As a person who has spoken with many of the IRS call center agents...I have to say that this is so true and I have said the exact same thing about them many many times 😂😂😂

The problem with MF is they will write 3 recommendations for buy and 3 recommendations to sell on the same stock. Depending which way the stock goes, then 3 of the recommendations disappear. I lost $12K about 20 years ago being stupid enough to follow MF as an advisor. It's as bad as listening to Jim Cramer. Stay away from MF. My portfolio is $225K fixed income (CDs and MM funds), $45K in the market, and $817 cash-on-hand. I'm 75 and retired so had a low risk investment strategy. I'm close enough to death that I'm thinking of increasing market exposure to 50% might be a good move for my heirs. Looking at $90K investment in S&P500 index funds (Warren was right!) in the next year as various CDs mature. I can get nearly the return in MM funds as CDs without loss of liquidity. The local bank just informed me that the interest rate on my $40K CD (5.271%) will now be 3% on renewal, I guess they think my dementia is worse than it is. Bad move on their part. I noticed that their VISA charge card interest on unpaid balances hasn't dropped by 2.271% by the way.

As a geologist, I find this offensive towards rocks!

My IRS online account shows payment received on March 11. I have received 3 letters demanding this $131.00 owed, a levy notice dated June 17 arrived a few days ago. WTF? I am on hold (30 minutes or more) right now after calling taxpayeradvocate.irs.gov ... they have transferred my call to 'accounts management'.

The form doesn't mention subtracting monthly expenses from my bank account amount. Would I do that myself before writing down the amount in the account? Ex. monthly expenses: 2000, bank account: 1800, so then I write 0 and then 0 - 1000 = 0?

Hasn't filed in 20 years?...how about the state ? CA? Filing and paying the IRS is half the battle and the other half in the state, unless it's one of the tax free states like FL or TX. This person needs to win the lottery.

I've made $100 so far with mistplay. I am a grandma with a lot of free time. I was already playing games on my phone so I figured I would try it. You do have to play a lot. If you already play games on your phone it's definitely worth it.

Nobody who works for a living should file, until it's free and simplified, there's no reason for the complexity and red tape, and it's backwards, billionaires pay nothing while working poor pay a chunk of their wages every paycheck, the fact that this goes on is a testament to the lack of backbone of the American public. All we need is for everyone to say I'm in, let's do something about it, I'm in.

My honest opinion is mixed. I've had a 50/50 success rate. Several of their recs have tanked since 2021 while the market is up as a whole. Keep in mind they say they are into long term. They also tend to recommend stocks when they are on the expensive side, so they can go up slightly, then really go down, as I mentioned above. It's not a scam, but its not a cash windfall either. I've still done better long term with good S&P mutual funds, which you mentioned.

I setup a consultation and received a person name Alec. He was very RUDE. I ended up telling him “I will go somewhere else” and I hung up !!! I don’t understand why someone would be so confusing and rude to someone looking for help. I’m highly disappointed because I really thought this person in this video would be best to help me.
